Lily is 20 inches long, 6.7 lbs (I am seriously considering a refund request for our sono the day before that said she was 7.3 lbs. ;) . She has LOTS of hair like Amelia did.
She is a voracious if not brief eater. We have to continually make her mad with rubbing, diaper changing, etc. to keep her eating and not falling asleep, although the same thing happens with mommy during those middle of the night feedings!
Labor was fast and easy (thanks to a lovely epidural) - 4 hour labor and 11 minutes of pushing! Lily has a perfectly round head as a result and I had no lacerations which is really, really nice for recovery and pain (i.e. dealing with chasing a 2 1/2 year old).
My favorite part of the labor part is watching Buddy hold and ah over the new baby - absolutely amazing and priceless to see your partner at that level.
Our biggest challenge at home now is Amelia of course. She goes from bouncing off the walls because of the baby to throwing GIGANTIC temper tantrums. Thankfully - and knock on wood, her sleeping schedule seems to be holding and she is staying in her own room and "big girl bed" even when Lily cries at night. She loves "her baby" but does not want to listen to anyone or anything about anything but the baby. My friends with 2+ children say it takes 2 weeks to really start adjusting so here's hoping as Buddy is off for 2 weeks to help!
Here are photos. We let family take them so we are waiting to get them back and then will post more on our photo site http://www.evers.smugmug.com/ We will update the pictures on a week probably and the blog in two.
Much love!
