Happy 4th of Jully everyone!
We are in Tucson this year. The girls and I took a week to visit my parents up in WY and escape the heat. It was wonderful and we would have loved to stay through the holiday but Buddy had to work and was really missing us. Buddy was able to take off Thursday and Friday though and we have had fun being bums around the house.
We have steak, shrimp, watermelon, corn and my infamous red and blue jello cake on the menu tonight.
We will probably miss firewoks this year as we normally go to my parents Tucson house in the Foothills to watch the shows but they are in WY. We could still go up to the house on our own but the girls will be asleep before the 9 pm shows start and then it is kind of lonely on our own.
We had a MASSIVE rain storm from 9 pm - 2 am last night. MUCH NEEDED here! Unfortunately it looks like the rest of the week will be dry (even during "monsoon" season) due to a large dry front pulling through :(
I also am "attempting" to make yogurt today. I got tired of buying Lily the whole milk Yo Baby yogurts for $5/six-pack. We will see how it goes, it is 7-8 hour process total. Could do well, could do very, very bad. We will see at 8 pm tonight.
Lily cut another tooth, front left one, giving her five total. She has the bottom front two and her two top "I" teeth. The right front should cut soon. She is a drool monster. She is standing up a lot too. She doesn't really pull herself up as much as "stands" which is neat to watch. We just need a few steps now.
Amelia is continuing to exercise her three-year oldness daily. She likes to "trade" Lily toys which inevitably always leave her with the better toy and Lily screaming. Her vocabulary continues to amaze us or rather how quickly she picks up words and their meanings. She is contantly arguing and trying to reason her way out of things such as naps. It is mentally exhausting for her parents!
I posted some recent photos of the girls. Amelia decided to paint "her family" one day, down to "Daddy with a moustache".

$5 for 6?!? I pay $3.49 for 6 at the commissary and balk at that. Glad you had a relaxing 4th:)
Yeah, $3.49 is a good SALE price for me.
