Santa paid a visit to our house last night and left us with a bunch of loot (along with a mess of soot, cookie crumbs and carrot bits - from the reindeer)!!! He also left a nice letter for Amelia thanking her for the snacks.
(We took a video of her first response with our camera but did not realize we took a 3+ minutes of video which translates to over 125 mb, i.e. WAY WAY to big to upload here. We are looking at other options - stay posted).
Amelia was VERY excited last night and had a hard time A) going to sleep and B) remembering to go potty when nature called. All in all it was an interesting night for her Mommy and Daddy (the later of whom managed to sleep "most" of the night ;)
This morning we managed to stretch out presents to an hour by opening and then "sampling and enjoying" them. We were trying to avoid a furry of just paper.
Poor Lily was absolute toast by 9:30 am after waking up at 8 am. She REALLY enjoyed her toys, some mobile-like car seat toys, teething items and wist jingles. However, all the toys, excitement and noise all at once made for one tired and grumpy baby!
We then had a Mommy-made breakfast of scrambled eggs (I may soon surpase my dad's!), blueberry pancakes, bacon, berry salad and cinnamon rolls.
Daddy has promised to prepare Christmas dinner which will be some 3-inch thick ribeyes from AJ's, buttered spaghetti squash, baked yams, sauteed mushrooms and onions! Yum, yum, yum!!!
