Family update - Amelia's so much fun, let's do it again!
Yes, we are expecting the arrival of yet another wee little one mid-July. Yep, July. In Tucson. Starting in May, please forward all my mail to "whale" residing in the three foot deep toddler pool at our local fitness club. Just kidding, kind of.
Seriously it will be quite the change stripping down this little one to keep cool versus having to bundle Amelia up in every ounce of available clothing to go from the house to the car in late December! I am predicting that the bambino and mama may have matching tans! (again just kidding).
Amelia update - War of words.
Words are great. Words are awful. Amelia is learning new ones everyday including mine, poopy and fart. The multi-syllabic ones are starting to come too as are two word sentences. Her latest was actually mastering "Happy Birthday" just in time for mommy's real birthday. The fact that Mommy was the one blowing out the candles though was thoroughly perplexing.
However, Amelia gets VERY frustrated when Mommy cannot understand two-year-oldese. She deals with this complication by frantically repeating the word and screaming which makes it sooo much easier to understand!
Melissa update - Second trimester, really???
We had our 12 week ultrasound which I really enjoyed. The little guy waved at us and jumped around like my uterus was a giant trampoline, which pretty accurately reflects how my stomach feels 24/7. However, a week later I am looking at those photos and scratching my head - Am I really pregnant? Isn't this delightful five pound pooch I'm sprouting just "mommy fat" - too many Amelia shunned french fries and fried chicken bits??? Oh well I guess 26 more weeks of reality ought to do it!

Buddy update - Big honkin'...
Buddy currently "refuses" to be blogged. He is honestly sitting on the couch folding clothes, watching "Star Trek" and cannot muster the energy to come to the computer after dealing with a raging hormone of a wife and a two year-old all day. Take pity.
The Farm update - More bobcat food.
In two-year-oldese, we got "more cluck". Translation: We bought some more chickens. After losing half the flock this year to a bobcat who thinks our yard is a walk through KFC - we went to the feed store and bought four more babies. For those of you who think we now have a Hometown Buffet, there is a reason we "had" to buy the chicks. Melissa's fellow teacher had a single survivor of a hatching attempt that didn't go so well. You cannot introduce single chicks into a flock as they get beat up and killed most often. Thus, we got four chicks plus our hatched baby and introduced them to the three remaining girls. All has gone well!
